What are invisible braces?
Just like regular braces, invisible braces straighten your teeth and correct your bite. Unlike regular braces, invisible braces are made of clear plastic, and are very hard to detect.
How do they work?
A series of clear plastic trays (called “aligners”) are custom-made for your mouth. You wear each aligner for about two to three weeks. As you work your way through the series of trays, your teeth are gently moved into a straighter position.
How long does it take?
It depends on how severe your situation is, but typically you will wear aligners for a few months, up to a year.
Can I take the aligners out?
They are removable. Typically, you will only take them out for brushing, flossing, and eating. However, you may remove them occasionally for special occasions.
Do invisible braces hurt?
No. At first, there might be some slight increased tooth sensitivity. However, typically, you’ll stop noticing the sensitivity after wearing aligners just a few days.

How often will I have to go to the dentist?
After your series of aligners are made, you will have to return to the office occasionally so the dentist can check on the progress of your teeth. The specifics depend upon your situation.
