What is Zoom!® tooth whitening?
Las Vegas Zoom! Tooth Whitening is a tooth whitening process that bleaches your teeth to lighten stains and discolorations of your enamel and dentin.
How long does Zoom! tooth whitening take?
The entire tooth whitening process can be completed within an hour, including preparation time. We do recommend that you also schedule a cleaning before you undergo your tooth whitening session.
What will I experience during the Zoom! tooth whitening procedure?
During your whitening session, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching TV or listening to music. The entire experience is relatively painless, and patients rarely experience any discomfort.
How does Las Vegas Zoom! tooth whitening work?
Las Vegas Zoom! Tooth Whitening uses a hydrogen peroxide-based gel that gets applied to the surface of your teeth. A special light is used to activate the bleaching agents in the gel, which will penetrate the surface of your teeth to remove stains and discoloration from the dentin and enamel of your teeth. You can expect your teeth to become up to eight shades whiter after using Zoom!
How long do the results last?
The length of time your teeth will stay pearly white will depend in some part on you. By taking proper care of your teeth, you will extend the effectiveness of the procedure considerably. Brushing at least twice a day, regular flossing, and occasional touch-ups with Zoom! take-home whitener will help those results last for a long time. It is also helpful to keep your consumption of coffee, tea, colas, red wine, and cigarettes to a minimum, since these substances have a tendency to stain your teeth.
Are there any side effects to Zoom! tooth whitening?
Some patients may experience sensitivity during treatment. This sensitivity will generally go away shortly after the procedure is completed. The Zoom! light only generates a low level of heat in order to reduce discomfort during the procedure.
